Yoga isn’t helpful in a burning building: Moral Injury

This workshop will be led by Dr. Kathy Gibney and Alex Gleason, who both have a strong passion for talking about the lives of physicians and advanced practice professionals from a realistic and productive place.  Please join your colleagues in exploring the importance of naming what is broken in healthcare accurately and in calling forth changes that are necessary from a place of courage and strength.

Finding Your Sources of Happiness

This workshop is designed to help you reconnect with what brings you joy. Based on the positive psychology model, we will explore the  different avenues in which we can find happiness in our day to day lives. Come prepared for uplifting discussions and learning.

Strategies for staying connected to your kids when your career has you speeding through life.

Co-Facilitated by: Kathy Gibney, PhD, ABPP & Leigh DeLorenzi, PhD, LMHC, LMFT, NCC

This workshop will be led by Drs. Gibney and DeLorenzi, who have worked for many years with families as they travel through the developmental challenges of raising children in a very fast-paced and socially linked world. Come explore some of the ways to maintain sanity in the midst of child-rearing and professional demands. Bring your troubles and some fun stories and let’s see what we can learn from one another!

Emotions: Friend not Foe

Facilitated by: Mandi Bailey, MA, LMHC

 

There is a strong human tendency to move away from or shut out uncomfortable emotions. But the truth is, all emotions, pleasant or unpleasant, are useful, important and need to be honored. In this workshop, you will learn about the anatomy of emotion, how to identify feelings, and what you can do to cope with them.

Healthy vs. Toxic Relationships: Signs and Symptoms

Facilitated by: Alex Gleason, MA, LMHC

 

Based on Dr. Amir Levine and Rachel Heller’s book “Attached”, we will be exploring different attachments styles and how they affect our relationships. Participants will learn their attachment style, as well as that of their partner and how to navigate the relationship. Learn the difference between a healthy and toxic relationship, and skills that may improve connection.

10 Qualities of the Super Well

Facilitated by: Kathy Gibney, PhD, ABPP

 

In this workshop we will be evaluating personal priorities and biases about being well through consensus-building exercises.  Intense discussion will help debunk the wellness myths found in medical training, explore what true wellness can look like, and how participants can achieve it.
