Services Offered


Florida Hospital physicians, residents, and mid-level providers qualify for 6 free counseling, coaching, or consulting sessions with the CPW. You will work with an objective, trained professional who provides a safe, trusting, and helpful environment.

Consultation Services

We offer expert consultation services that give physicians access to a trusted advisor who is specially trained to collaboratively work out solutions to complex processes and interpersonal communication challenges that are inevitably found in every workplace. Specific services include:

  • One-on-one consultation

  • Intentional rounding that includes walking with a physician throughout their day and providing assessment, recommendations and coaching for implementation

  • Critical event interventions for individuals, teams or departments


Working with a trained, objective professional can help you define goals, develop action steps to achieve those goals, and overcome any barriers getting in your way of success. Coaching is beneficial for those who are generally functioning well, and who want to 

improve in one or more areas so that they can be their best selves and live a life with meaning, purpose and fulfillment. Examples of areas to address in coaching sessions:

  • Personal: Live out values, create balance, discover meaning and purpose, achieve holistic wellbeing.

  • Professional: Increase confidence, improve performance, explore goals and interests, communication skills, overcome self-doubt, improve assertiveness, career transition, navigate work environment, manage conflict effectively, work/life balance, unlock creativity and potential.

  • Relationship: Identify sources of conflict, deepen connections, find a sense of belonging, improve intimacy.

Professional Counseling and Psychotherapy

We offer professional counseling focused on the findings of neuroscience that inform the treatment of mental health and substance abuse issues, and the complexities of life that can challenge everyone. Some topics that physicians and their families have found helpful to receive support around include, but are not limited to, self-doubt, depression, anxiety, stress, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, anger, relationship conflict, parenting dynamics, loss and grief, and addictions.

Educational Workshops

We work with individuals, teams and/or departments to develop educational experiences that meet the unique needs and challenges as experienced by specific situations.

  • Continuing medical education (CME) programs that are based on best-applied practices and the utilization of experiences and self-reflection to expose participants to new knowledge, develop new skills and attitudes, and implement new behaviors

We provide programs designed to promote trust, belonging and hope among coworkers by creating opportunities to share personal stories, viewpoints and experiences.

  • Finding Meaning in Medicine programs give physicians a place to gather to share stories that remind everyone of the deeper meaning of the practice of medicine.

  • We are happy to accept invitations to provide programs designed for your department to encourage collegial discussion and engagement and meet your identified needs.

  • Wellbeing retreat programs offer a unique experience for teams, groups and/or departments that invite self-awareness, build resiliency factors and prevent burnout.
