He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Charter Life Underwriter, Charter Financial Consultant, Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow, and Charter Advisor for Senior Living. Dave has been in the Financial Planning industry for nearly 25 years. He also serves as a volunteer, teaching Financial Preparation for couples getting married in the Catholic Diocese. David has a Finance Degree from Auburn University and currently holds his Series 7, 66 and 24 licenses.

Melissa L. Wheaton, Esq., LL.M. (Taxation)
Melissa L. Wheaton is a Trusts and Estates Attorney at the law firm of Killgore Pearlman & Semanie, P.A. and has been licensed to practice law in Florida since 2003.
Melissa is a 5th generation Florida native originally from Jacksonville who now calls Central Florida home. Prior to joining Killgore Pearlman & Semanie, P.A, Melissa was the founder and principal attorney at an estate planning firm in South Florida. Melissa spent the early part of her career working for a Fortune 260 company representing management in collective bargaining disputes. She served as a Director of Labor Relations, Arbitration & Strategy, leading a team of managers in the handling of contract disputes, negotiating agreements, effective claim settlements of high liability cases, and providing training deliverables to internal stakeholders.
Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s and Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Florida. During law school, Melissa served as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy. She also was an advocate for Gator Team Child, representing children in education matters. Melissa also holds a Master of Science in Management from Troy University. Intellectual curiosity coupled with the enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 compelled Melissa to earn an LL.M. in Taxation at Boston University School of Law, where she received an Estate Planning Certificate.
Melissa’s practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, guardianship, probate and trust administration.

Troy Walther, CPA
Troy is a manager at H&CO, LLP (formerly GrennanFender) and is a CPA with 10 years of experience in public and corporate taxation. Prior to joining H&CO, Troy worked in the corporate tax department of a publicly traded company, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and another regional accounting firm, servicing a variety of passthrough, corporate, and high net worth clients. Though born in Florida, Troy grew up in Memphis and attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) where he received his Bachelors and Master of Accountancy. In his spare time, he enjoys being near the water (preferably fishing), cooking, and all things history. He lives in Maitland with wife Mary Hillyer, son Robert, and his red golden retriever, Woody.
